New Life in Christ
Day 1: The Power of Repentance
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
- Acts 3:19 NLT
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
Repentance is not a burden but a gift—it means changing our mind to align with God's truth. The Greek word "metanoia" literally means to change your thinking, opening our eyes to see God clearly. When sin clouds our vision, repentance acts like a cleansing shower on a hot day, bringing refreshment to our souls. This isn't about earning God's favor through penance; it's about accepting His invitation to see life from His perspective. When we repent and turn to God, He promises times of refreshing.
Today, ask God to reveal any area where your thinking needs realignment with His truth, and experience the freedom that comes from seeing clearly

Day 2: Saved by Grace Through Faith
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
- Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
- Romans 6:4 NLT
Salvation is God's gift, not our achievement. We cannot work our way into heaven or earn God's love through religious rituals. Baptism beautifully illustrates this truth—it doesn't wash away sin, but publicly declares what Christ has already accomplished. The water symbolizes burial of our old self and resurrection to new life, but it's the blood of Jesus that truly cleanses. This removes all pressure to perform and replaces it with grateful obedience. You are saved by grace through faith, period. No one can boast about their goodness or religious accomplishments.
Today, rest in the finished work of Christ and let gratitude, not guilt, motivate your obedience to Him.

Day 3: Christ Lives in Me
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Galatians 2:20 NLT
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
- John 10:10 NLT
Following Jesus transforms us from the inside out. When Christ lives in us, we become the best version of ourselves—not better than others, but better than who we were without Him. Scientific research confirms what Scripture has taught for millennia: living out Christian beliefs improves our mental health, extends our lifespan, and enhances our overall wellbeing. Prayer physically changes our brains, reducing fear and increasing emotional regulation. Worship boosts our immune system. This abundant life isn't just about eternity; it's about experiencing God's goodness now. Christ in you means you have access to divine power for daily living.

Day 4: The Great Commission and Obedience
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
- Matthew 28:18-20 NLT
If you love me, obey my commandments.
- John 14:15 NLT
Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples and baptize them—this wasn't a suggestion but a commission. Obedience to Christ flows from love, not obligation. When we truly understand what He has done for us, following His commands becomes our joy. Baptism matters because Jesus said it matters. It's a public declaration that we're no longer living for ourselves but for the One who died and rose for us. You don't need to be perfect before taking this step; you just need to be willing.
Obedience isn't about achieving perfection but about taking the next step in faith. What is Jesus asking you to obey today?

Day 5: Celebrating New Beginnings
Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”
Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.

- Acts 2:38-41 NLT
I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the Lord.
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.

a hymn of praise to our God.

They will put their trust in the Lord.
- Psalm 40:1-3 NLT
Baptism is a party, not a funeral. It marks the beginning of your adventure with God, not the end of joy. When the early church baptized three thousand people in one day, it was a celebration of new life. Your decision to follow Christ deserves to be celebrated publicly, allowing others to witness God's transforming power. Whether you were baptized as an infant or never baptized at all, what matters is your personal faith in Jesus. This journey isn't about religious tradition but about relationship. God has pulled you from the pit, set your feet on solid ground, and put a new song in your heart.
Share your story. Celebrate what God has done. Invite others into this life-changing relationship.

Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of salvation and the new life You have given me in Christ. Transform my heart each day so that my life points others to You, and give me the courage to follow You in obedience. Amen.
