WHO WE ARE
We are Catalin and Kelly Dima. We live in Hanover, MN, and have three boys: Alec, Manny, and Benjamin. Catalin came to know the Lord as a teenager in Communist Romania. He immigrated to the United States and married the love of his life, Kelly, in 2004. Kelly has grown up in Minnesota and is a graduate of Bethel College and Seminary. Together, we have over 50 years of ministry experience. We are excited to start Influence Church in Fall of 2021. From a very young age we have both have felt a call to help people discover that living for God is the way to live a meaningful life.
In this past year, with all the turmoil going on in our world, our country, and our state, we see a great need to help people catch a vision of hope for the future. We feel the best place to start is right here where we are, right in the Buffalo/Hanover area in the Northwest Twin Cities.
In a rapidly growing community with young active families, purpose and dreams
are lost in the day to day. Because of this we want to build a life-giving local church
that allows people to find their purpose and help them influence their world.
This happens by connecting people with the truth of God’s word and others
which mobilizes them to become all God has designed them to be.
Let’s look up, expand our vision, and influence our world.
THE NEED

Married couples comprise 60% of households in the area, way above the national average. These couples need guidance and support to have strong healthy marriages.35%
The number of Generation Z in the area is expected to grow by nearly thirty-five percent in the next 5 years! The parents of these kids are looking for safety and support and someone to come alongside them. The majority of churches in the area are very traditional, and we want to come alongside these wonderful churches to build God’s Kingdom by bringing a fresh expression of worship to the next generation.33%
Thirty-three percent of households in the area are only somewhat involved in their faith.29%
Twenty-nine percent of households are not involved with their faith at all.Together we can make an impact
and help people see that living for God and others is the best way to have a meaningful life.
The Difference We’ll Make
Influence Church will be a thriving, life-giving, fun, and real community of ordinary people who love God passionately and want to honor Him with all they have and are. We will help build strong marriages within the community. The stronger the marriages, the stronger the families, the stronger the community. We will inspire generosity and compassion in helping those in need in the community such as widows and single moms. We will lead the next generation to impact the world. Influence Church will inspire people to break free from the ordinary and partner with God so we can influence our world for the better together.
